Travel the World with Eastant Series – Vietnam (Hanoi Station)

What to do in Ha Noi city? As the capital of Vietnam,  Ha Noi has the ancient beauty of a thousand-year-old city, the delicacy of French 19th century architecture, and the activeness of the modern world. Whoever you are, and whatever your preference for taste, it is impossible to be bored in our city. If you have the joyous opportunity to enjoy a free day in Ha Noi city, let’s try these activities for a memorable time. Eating street food It makes no sense to visit Ha Noi city and to only indulge in luxurious, fancy restaurants. On the streets of this city you can find a bowl of “Phở” (white noodles with chicken meat of beef – Vietnamese specialty); a BBQ or hotpot ‘’restaurant’’ ; or a nice dessert on the sidewalk. Dessert: caramel pudding with jelly and fruit. Street snack. A mini-dinner selling food on the side walk. Exploring the Old Quarter by “xích lô” The old quarter, full of French-style houses, buildings and attractions, which has been mostly kept intact since the last century, is generally small and buildings are  in close proximity to each other. Considering that it’s quite inconvenient for a taxi to smoothly get around these small streets, a “xích lô” might be the best option. It’s comfortable, easy to see the city. A few sight of Ha Noi old quarter St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Hanoi Hanoi Opera House As with everything else in Vietnam, unless you buy your ‘’xích lô” ticket for traveling around at a proper agent with a listed price, prepare to bargain a bit and be sure of the price, without any hidden fee or tips with your driver before travelling. Roof-top bar Ha Noi is fancy, lively, and full of light in night time. Roof-top bars and restaurants are excellent options. How about enjoying light music, qualified food and a spectacular view? Buying souvenirs in Dong Xuan market  Stay away from the tourist areas with crazy-expensive souvenirs, you can easily finds specialties, clothes, key chains, and any other things people bring back as gifts here. The price which is given to tourist however might be double than that sold to locals, therefore, insist on the price you’re willing to pay and walk away if they don’t agree. Sellers hate to see their customers walking away, so they will lower the price to get you to come back and buy their products. Ha Noi is a city full of surprise and wonder, which one article may not be able express enough, however, hopefully it will, humbly, show you the beauty of this ancient city.
